by [MASONIC MANUSCRIPT]
[London?], ca. 1850. A Masonic manuscript with text wholly composed of hand-drawn and hand-colored hieroglyphics. Seven very thick leaves with the text (?) double matted and each leaf bound onto a stub of yellow silk. The whole bound in contemporary black cloth with no lettering or markings of any kind.Clearly the text tells a story or message of some kind and many of the symols are recognizable (Adam & Eve, pyramids, etc.) but one would need be a Mason to translate this.
