New York: Harper and Brothers, 1952. First edition. Near Fine/very good. A Near Fine copy of the First Edition, first printing of this E.B. White classic, in a Very Good first state dust jacket. The publisher's original oatmeal cloth boards are clean and unfaded, with only very light edgewear, and the blue lettering to the front board and spine is bright and fresh. The spine is lightly bumped but is neither sunned nor darkened, there is a bit of tape residue in two places on the front pastedown, and the pages show minor evidence of handling, but not soiling. The price-clipped jacket is in Very Good condition, with mild age toning at the edges, light chips at the corners and at the head and heel of the spine, and only minor wrinkling. There are no bookplates, signatures or other indicia of prior ownership. A very nice, Near Fine copy of the First Edition of the book in a very good original original first issue dust jacket.
