Book desription: NY: Grosset & Dunlap, 1949. The book has a solid maroon cover, with a small, boxed picture of Cherry Ames in black. The endpapers are gray. The name "Helen Wells" is on the book spine as the author; it was originally covered with matching piece of tape printed with the name "Tatham." The tape is missing. 213 pages. We think it is a first edition but will welcome challenges with additional information. There is a 1/2" long tear on the cover spine, some wear on the edges of the covers. The spine is slightly cocked. The text is free of names and other markings. The book 10 Cherry Ames titles (to this one), followed by list of four Vicke Barr titles.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Dust Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
