Bound in contemporary full mottled calf, gilt chain borders, spine compartments decoratively stamped in gilt, leather spine labels lacking. Bookplate of Sutro Library, San Francisco, California on front pastedown. A clean copy though with significant worming trails (not affecting maps), some wear to the binding, short tear to left marginal stub of Europe/Africa map, not affecting image. The maps are bright and clean. Basically, it is being offered for the maps which are very attractive.
