Lyon publisher Sebastien Gryphe (1493-1556) first published an edition of Justin's Epitome of Trogus in 1538; he republished it a number of times through the end of the 16th century. Nice woodcut griffin device (Baudrier's mark 6) on the final page, with a neat early ink ownership inscription below that. Evidence of a bookplate neatly removed from the front paste-down; bound without the final blank. Baudrier (8e Serie) 277; Schweiger 488.
