Boston: Little, Brown & Co, 1938. First American edition. Hardcover. Very good -. 593 pp. Octavo. [21.5 cm]. Black semi-glossy paper over boards. Deckled edges. Publisher's red top stain. Corners bumped, pages toned and lightly foxed. Gilt title stamped to spine, which has sustained some slight water damage on the cloth near the head. Text block just beginning to crack at the rear tail.
