Beware of the Dog by Mrs. Baillie Reynolds. No copyright date listed, but this originally came out in 1910 I think. This is U.S. edition, so may be later printing. This is an almost impossible book to find by this UK romance novelist. She also wrote under the name of Mrs. L. Baillie Reynolds, as well as G. M. Robins and Gertrude Mary Reynolds, nee Robins. She wrote a fair number of published books. However, I could not find this particular title listed under any Mrs. Baillie Reynolds or any of her other writing names. I read this book, it's a romantic suspense novel. (This story has nothing to do with a dog, but with a man who has the initials D.O.G..) The plot is a little convulted in places, but it's still an interesting and enjoyable read. Tight hardcover, no dustjacket. On title page says Brentano's, NY. On copyright page gives printer and then says copyright UK by Mills & Boon, Ltd., London.Tight hardcover, no dustjacket. Cover intact with a little splotching, a little smudging, a little scuffing, a little wrinkling,along bottom front board edge. Cover intact, can see wear but cover wear is not overly major. Slant to book. Few light small smudges inside covers. Previous owner's name scribbled in black marker inside front cover. Spine seems secure enough with minor give. There is some slight damage to inside binding here and there, you can see this but all pages are securely intact. Pages intact, clean. Book has 279 pages. This title is next to impossible to find by this UK romance novelist. This copy good for solid collectible reading copy of extremely hard to find rare collectible reading copy of this title.
