Book desription: NY: Wiley & Putnam, 1845. This is an early 1845 edition of this 212 page work, a presumed First since we have seen no earlier listed. It is a collection of poems, stories and letters, numbering 22 to 39, as a continuation of the first volume, which did not come with this. There is wear to the leather at edges, with it being nealry completely gone at one corner. Boards have modest wear and rubbing consistent with this era. Spine leather has numerous small dings with cracking to leather at hinges, with front hinge starting, but rear tight. Please see or request pic . Inscribed front endpapers WIlliam Old, Porstentan, VA. Mild foxing/spotting, but overall binding is tight. A very scarce volume.. Apparent First Editon. Three-Quarter Leather. Good/None Issued. 12mo - 6¾" - 7¾" Tall.
