Book desription: Chicago: Reilly & Lee, 1942 Scarce first edition of this 1942 Oz adventure both written and illustrated by Neill who was the illustrator for much of the Reilly & Lee Oz books, as well as many other books of children's stories which R & L published. In the story, a boy finds himself mysteriously taken from aboard a tugboat in New York City's harbor, flung high into the sky and landing in Oz's Nonestic Ocean! Another marvelous book in this lengthy series. Overall condition is pretty good; however, the spine is waterstained which spread just a little to the rear covers. Cloth is green with a bright full-color pictorial label w/a bare spot where a price tab was probably removed and markings conforming to first edition copies. A little fraying to the bottom of the front cover and bumped corners. B&w illustrations throughout. OUT OF PRINT.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Dj. Illus. by Author. Large 8vo.
