My debut upon the worlds stage occurred on February 26th, 1845 in the state of Iowa So begins this self-spun yarn by one of Americas greatest Tall-Tale Tellers. From his earliest years as Pony Express rider, through Civil War enlistment as a scout for the Union Army in Tennessee, and his renown as a hunter of both buffalo and Indians, William F. Cody managed to infuse each incarnation of himself with the stuff of legends. Indeed his greatest achievement, outranking even the international fame of his Wild West Shows, was his phenomenal promotion of himself. Buffalo Bill did much to introduce the mythology of the American West to his countrys gullible City Slickers, and thereby secured his own home-cooked immortality by the mere mention of his name. Signed First Editions of Codys autobiography are Very Rare. Only a handful of inscribed copies have been on the market in the past 20 years.
