Description
New York: Metropolitan Books 1st Edition 1930. ----------hardcover, with dust jacket. This is the TRUE FIRST EDITION, with green cloth, black lettering, Metropolitan on the spine, 301 pages, and the St. John frontispiece. Zeuschner 665. The front panel of the book and the spine have slight wrinkles, there is some spine edgewear, a small bump to the bottom of the front boards, former owner pen name and small coloured stamp inside the front boards and on the free front endpaper, some modest soiling to the boards. The book is very solid and square, the overall condition being VG+. The mylar-protected Metropolitan jacket has pieces out of the spine extremities and fold corners, small tears to the top and bottom of the panels, and some ancient clear tape repairs to the inside of part of the flap folds. The flap edges appear to have been slightly trimmed (perhaps they came that way), but the original $2.00 price is still present. The overall jacket condition is good.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Illus. by J. Allen St. John (wraparound dust jacket and frontispiece).
