FIRST ENGLISH EDITION.8vo.(9.2 x 6.5 inches).Frontis and four full page plates plus dozens of smaller illustrations as head and tail pieces and chapter headings.Each text page with beautiful Arts and Crafts lettering,within border,giving the book title across the top of the page.Assorted small shield designs to the bottom of each text page.All printed in black,tan and dark brown.Decorative endpapers.Publishers grey cloth with colour plate onlayed to the front board surrounded by fine Arts & Crafts style lettering in black,on a green backfround and within a blck border.Spine letered in black with three small green circles,within black borders.The spine is a bit darkened but still very readable and quite clear.Overall a very good copy of this little known,but beautiful,book.Originally published in the USA in 1907 this is the first and possibly only UK edition of this wonderful decorative book.:
