Ward,Lock,and Tyler.London.,circa 1865. 4to.(10.8 x 8 inches).A very good copy,fully illustrated throughout by the Dalziel Brothers, A.B.Houghton,John Tenniel,J.E.Millais,among others.Contemporary half brown calf binding with raised bands to spine,each with floral gilt design.Compartments ruled in gilt and with blind wavy lines.dark brown leather label,ruled and lettered in gilt.Marbled paper on boards.Neat previous owners name on fore edge.Previous owners bookplate (No name,just a palm tree) on front paste down endpaper.Some rubbing to the extremities but overall a very good copy of this wonderfully illustrated edition,in a nice early leather binding.:
