Book desription: Paris: Excudebat Fr. Amb. Didot Natu Maj., 1785. Leather Bound. Good. Two volumes in full leather, gold hand-tooling; pages gilt-edged. All boards detached from book, but present; spine leather 50% gone on both volumes. Former owner's pastedown plate in both volumes on endpaper; interiors generally remarkably clean for a book this old, some light foxing throughout. Edge stain on lower right on volume 1, 1st 10 pages, 1/4" into page. Interesting chapter references in pearl type in margins. Folio. A very well-presented editon of the vulagte in a later printing for this printer. Didot family was well-known not only as printers for King Louis but as a major type-founder for other printers.
