This first issue appeared as a consequence of the suppression of the winter 1959 issue of CHICAGO REVIEW, and includes work by Kerouac, Corso and Dahlberg, as well as a long excerpt from NAKED LUNCH. A ruling set aside the impounding of 400 copies of the first issue by the USPS (a ruling by Judge Julius Hoffman, no less!). CLAY & PHILLIPS, p.265.
