FIRST U.S 1 VOLUME EDITION.8vo.(9.4 x 6.6 inches).Originally issued in London as three slim quarto volumes in a limited edition in 1913.Beautifully Illustrated with 24 fine full colour plates by Russell Flint.Finely bound in mid twentieth century beautiful full blue morocco.Spine with five raised bands,each with line and leaf rule in gilt.Compartments with double box ruling and full elaborate decoration in gilt.Boards with elaborate border design within triple ruled line,all in gilt.Both boards have red,gold and burgundy leather onlay roses,all with gilt stalks.Board edges with gilt ruling.Gilt inner dentelles and triple line border in rule and piping.Plain blue endpapers.Top edge gilt,others untrimmed.Minor rubbing to the edges and small area of abrasion to one of the spine compartments but overall this is a very good copy in a beautiful,highly decorative leather binding.The binding is unsigned but certainly by a master Binder.:
