New York: Simon and Schuster, 1937. This is an extraordinarily rare signed and inscribed copy with a special provenance. Louis Horowitz was an early real estate developer in New York City who shaped that city's (earlier) skyline. He was the builder of the famed Woolworth Building in Manhattan and a sculpted caricature of him is located in that building's lobby. Warmly inscribed by him on fep to law professor Nathan Isaacs, a conservative legal realist. Jacket is sunned on spine and across top, edgeworn and with minor chipping around edges. There is a chip missing from top front. 277 toned pages with some black and white photographs on glossy stock. Lightly tanned inside covers.
