Bright, clean, square, and tight. Inner hinges are perfectly sound. NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are crisp, and unmarked. Each volume is 6.75" wide by 10.25" tall. Volume I: 304pp.; Volume II: pp. 305-611; Volume III: 336pp.; Volume IV: pp. 337-666 [1,277 total pages]. Lavishly illustrated with 37 maps and 251 pictures. Top edges gilt. Uniformly bound in the original green cloth. Gilt stamping is still as bright and shiny as new. The History of Napoleon Bonaparte is from the title page. The cover title is different. It reads: Life of Napoleon Bonaparte.
