The first twenty leaves give the feeling of having had a wet pitcher placed on the front free endpaper as there is a four-inch diameter area of cockling. No published date but the latest testimonial is dated 1870; also there is no definitive indication that this is the first Canadian edition, however it does seem to be a fairly reasonable assumption, regardless it is quite scarce in any Canadian edition..
