Mackmillan and Co 1876 FIRST EDITION.  Decorated camel and black cloth boards 83pp, gilt edges to text block, black endpapers and publishers advertisments. All illustrations by Henry Holiday are present. Includes the famous misprint on page 83 where Baker should be BankerThe gilding is in good order, with just a few light scratches and one dark spot on the base of the text block. The spine ends are bumped, but intact. The corners are also lightly bumped. There is a raised patch on the front cover close to the spine and an inch from the top, as well as a slight ripple to the finish on the outer part of the cover, also about an inch from the top as well as a few fox marks and other light staining. There is a minor tilt to the spine.  Small split at hinge of front black endpaper and two minor splits where endpaper glued to back cover  Internally in excellent order. Slight foxing to the tissue guard only. There is a neat and light pencil dedication date JUNE 1876, Expertly packed and shipped within one working day, frequently SAME DAY.
