Book summary

Cleveland Amory's exemplary Texas animal sanctuary, Black Beauty Ranch, is the subject of this book, in which tells the stories of some of the animals that have found refuge there. Armory makes a cogent plea for more humane treatment of animals by various institutions (including a well-known zoo) that often resort to cruelty in their handling of them.
