Book description: NY Thomas Crowell 1895.. Fine in a chipped orignal dust jacket. The jacket has heavy chipping along the top edge of rear panel and some heaving chipping along the lower right quadrant edge of the rear panel and stops at the juncture of the rear panel and spine. The front panel has some chips at the upper right corner and lesser ones at the bottom edge. None of the chipping affects the lettering on the jacket. The jacket front panel is quite good. The verso of the jacket does have some clear cello tape reinforcement at creases. Overall, not bad for a 103 year-old dust jacket. A wonderful book, well constructed in tan slick cloth with stamping in dark brown and white showing fiqures skating. Illustrated with plates, frontis with tissue guard intact. Rare in jacket.
