The First Edition has for sale the rare and collectable The Magical Mimics of Oz, a first edition first state Wizard of Oz book by Jack Snow from 1946 complete with its rare dust jacket, published by The Reilly & Lee Co, Chicago, USA.____The dust jacket is in Good condition with minor losses, and a retailer’s label to the top of the inside flap. It is extremely rare to have the dust jacket with the book.____The inside flap reads (in part):____“For the first time in the recorded history of the Land of Oz, both Princess Ozma and Glinda the Good leave their beloved fairy-land on a mission that takes them far across the rolling sands of the Deadly Desert.”____The original grey boards have a colour label pasted to the front which represents the same design as the front of the dust jacket. The boards are in remarkable Near Fine condition with only slight knocks to the top and bottom of the spine. These are a beautiful set of clean and fresh boards.____There are stunning double page illustrations in green on a white background to the front and rear endpapers which are in clean condition____There are 242 numbered pages which contain numerous black and white illustrations throughout and are in overall Near Fine condition with some marks to a few pages, but overall extremely clean and attractive____The Magical Mimics by Jack Snow is a stunning Wizard of Oz book that rarely appears on the market in this condition with its original dust jacket.
