DescriptionNY: Doubleday, 1965. The dust jacket is worn overall and the corners and the top and bottom of the spine are rubbed. The top and bottom of the spine are slightly chipped and there is a 3/4" closed tear on the rear edge of the bottom of the spine. A 1/2" closed tear is found on the bottom of the rear near the corner. The jacket is slightly sunned overall, as are the edges of the front and rear boards. There is a 1/2" yellow organic stain on the edge of the front free end paper and the former owner pasted a newspaper article about the book to the rear free end paper. The pages are yellowed and the binding is tight. This is a biographical novel about President James Polk.. First Edition. Cloth. Good/Good.
