Charmingly illustrated throughout with b&w drawings and 8 tipped-in color plates. A collection of fairy tales, adventures stories, poetry, fables, etc. by some of th. e eras most famous authors. Some are illustrated by the authors, while others enjoy the talents of J.R. Monsell, Alec Buckels, Kenneth Harrow, Harry Rountree, C.T. Nightingale, Roy Meldrum, Tinker Taylor, K.M. Gibbs, Hilda T. Miller, Frederick C. a r t er and Gabriel Pippet. Interior - "Mishy the Surf-Baby" tipped-in plate has soft wrinkling/creasing, frontispiece tipped-in plate has two corner creases, pages are browning very lightly, book cracked at pages 52/53 - some slight cracking at a. f ew o ther locations - all pages holding firmly, small light stain on page 82. Exterior - cloth covered boards are lightly to moderately foxed, browned and soiled, browning to spine and edges of textblock, light wear at edges and corners. Good.
