With b&w photos of officers, men, battle scenes. WW-1 Service History (Belgium & France) of 107th U.S. Infantry, 27th NYNG from activation to Unit's return home. ||| 2 CONDOLENCE LETTERS to parents of Corporal killed (posthumous DSC) 29 Sept. 1918. (1) From then-Capt. Andrews on pp. 1 & 4 of folded sheet: `all join me in heartfelt sympathy over loss of a fine friend, a gentleman, & a real soldier.' Pg. 4 has minor separation not affecting text; & (2) Sgt. Gurley: 1-1/2pp. on 2 sides of yellow ruled sheet.
