An "art publication" [ meaning "let's look at semi-clad women"] showing nightime Paris life in music halls, theaters, concerts, cafes, etc. Many hundreds of bw & tinted photos, 2 dbl. page drawings, showing mostly girls in cafe society, theater, dancing, mostly lightly or semi-clad, some even in bed. The photos taken by different professional photographers of the day, principally Reutlinger. Many of the girls are named. One of the dbl. pg. scenes shows nude women under a waterfall. The girls are mostly music hall girls & dancers, many in stage costume & in dressing room or bedroom situations, sometimes posed in Victorian dresses, a few show them on bicycles. Fabulously illustrated look at 1890's Paris nightlife & fashion. Published by Ludovic Baschet, editor. Large size book measuring 11 x 13 3/4 in. Very scarce.
