Book description: (London), , (1828). Unbound. Browned, several horizontal creases (could be ironed), a bit frayed at edges, foxing & browning. Fair-Gd. . Folio. 6 7/8 x 15 in. tall. With banner headline at top reading "Bulletin" & "Northern Whig Office". Printed in 2 columns, small print, resembling a newspaper, only printed on 1 side only & apparently once posted or given out. First column with lead article on King's speech on "Catholic Emancipation" & this bulletin's comments on it & also Robert Peel. About 1 2/3 column or remainder of sheet comments on House of Lords proceedings, then House of Commons proceedings. House of Lords proceedings with material on ongoing Greek War of Independence incl. the King's obligations with his allies pursuant to the 1827 treaty, the successes of the Egyptian & Turkish forces, the successful use of naval forces by the England & its allies leading to a Convention with the Pacha of Egypt, the liberation of Greece, the hostilities between Russia & Turkey, the blockade of the Dardenelles, the neutrality of the Mediterranean Sea, also relations with France, English state news, mention of removal of Catholic disabilities. The House of Commons proceedings also mainly discuss relief for the Catholics. A rare 1820's posted item, still preserved reasonably.
