Also another fron pg. article on French positions northeast of Soissons captured by the Germans in a surprise attack. several other headlines & small articles on German attacks in France, also front page news of a rebellion in China with 4 provinces seceeding. Page 2 has "5 Divisions For France This Fall" and "Germans Hate U.S. Airmen; No Fair Fight." This is a small column on supposed German concentration on hitting planes flying American flags & that "when an American aviator appears in the sky it is a signal for an enemy attack in force." Also a column on the day's war news reviewed. Calif. trial news, a large cartoon.
