Long inscription to page ii from Donald Wright, brother of the author. The story of the Wright Family of Strathroy, Ontario, from the arrival from England of James J. Wright and his wife Keziah Clarke Chinnick in 1865. James was a shoemaker; later the family manufactured pianos, during the 1920s the Wright Brothers formed a jazz ( and other things ) quartet, with sometimes and additional Wright to bring it up to a quntet. In the '50s the family got into display and marketing fixtures. Don Wright, who signed this copy, became an icon in the field of Canadian music education, receiving in 2005 the Faculty of Music Distinguished Service Award in Music Education.
