This TWO VOLUME, OVERSIZED set is in GOOD CONDITION. Bound in green cloth with black stamped design and gold gilt lettering on front covers and spines. Gold still bright. End papers are tan floral design. Title pages printed in red and black ink. VOL 1: has 558 pages containing 16 color illustrations, 155 black/white illistrations (color illus.have tissue guards), a list of Medal of Honor Winners, a list of Battles and Engagements and stories of Civil War battles. The cover has some surface stains where someone set their glass, corner and edge wear, and hinges loose. One illustration is loose, all other pages tight and intact. Small pen mark on flypage. VOL 2: has 554 pages which includes 16 color illustrations, 91 black/white illustrations (color illus. have tissue guards), a list of Medal of Honor Winners and stories from the Indian Wars (including a section by Buffalo Bill), War of the Rebellion and the Spanish-American War. Slight surface wear, edge/corner wear, binding and hinges strong and intact. One illustration is loose. Back flypages and free space on last page have inscription and drawings, all in pencil. EXCELLANT RECORD OF HISTORICAL EVENTS, WRITTEN FIRST HAND. SCARCE COPY. Second Edition. Decorative Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
