Book description: London: William Nicholson and Sons. 360pp inc engraved frontis and title-page engraving and head- and tail-pieces and initials, plus 8-page publisher's catalogue - Undated, but Sunday School presentation certificate tipped to FPDP is dated 1894. This is one of at least a dozen titles by Moore, mostly children's moral novels but she also wrote a few books on historic subjects. <P>Covers (red cloth with gilt titles and black floral decor to front bevelled board and to spine, front pattern continues to rear board but blind stamped on rear board) are soiled with edgewear and rubbed corners. Textblock is lightly smudged on a few pages, has a Sunday School presentation plate to FPDP, but is otherwise clean and tight.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by "A. R." (possibly, but cannot confirm, Arthur Rackham). 5 x 7.5".

We apologise for any inconvenience but that's the rules we're bound to. Payment by cheque or postal order from outside the UK is very slow because we have to wait for clearance. All goods remain the property of Books At Star Dot Star until payment in full is received. Shipping Policy: All books are sent within the UK via surface mail. All international orders are shipped Air Mail unless requested otherwise. Postage (and insurance where applicable) will be added to price of book or books. Customers will be advised of total cost before payment is requested and book or books despatched. On receipt of payment books will be despatched immediately. Shipping charges - Postage and Packing is based on the cost of our average book, which is fairly large and heavy (about 1Kg, 2.2 lbs). We will provide insurance when appropriate.
