Black buckram boards with gold lettering and wreath on front, gilt on top of pages, G-, tears and edgewear on top of spine, couple of small water spots on front and top outside pages, very light corner wear, prior owner's name on top title page, otherwise, G. buckram : A cloth made of cotton or linen which is used to cover a book.
Fair : is a worn book that has complete text pages (including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers, half-title, etc. (which must be noted). Binding, jacket (if any), etc., may also be worn. All defects must be noted. (defined by AB Bookman's Weekly)
