A very good, clean, hardcover copy with moderately heavy shelf wear, yellowing to fore edges and light foxing to endpapers, hinges and binding tight, pages faintly yellowed. In a fair, lightly soiled dust jacket chipped at the folds and at the backstrip ends, with a four inch chip across top edge of front panel; titles on backstrip and on front panel are intact as is picture of McAlevy. . Inscribed on front free endpaper by author to previous owner with date 20th Sep. 1934. There is no date of publication noted by the printer. Memoir of author's years as a seafarer employed by many steamships during and after WWI. With b&w photographs.
