London: Andre Deutsch, 1956. 352pp., last blank, list of illustrations, foreword by authors, appendix by Vladimir Petrov and index. Red coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Black to top paper edge. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine. Browning to the endpapers along with handling marks and slight foxing. Very slight foxing to the paper edges. Plain text dustwrapper, with yellow and black background with a red star on the black background, with red, white and yellow writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is sun affected, which has caused general darkening of the paper and slight fading to the spine. Chipping to the head and heel of spine and to the corners of the dustwrapper. On the verso of the dustwrapper has foxing marks and is quite brown. Autobiography of the Russian couple at the centre of the Cold-War storm in Australia. Digital image available upon request.. Unfortunately often misunderstood to mean 8 volumes.
verso : The page bound on the left side of a book, opposite to the recto page.
endpapers : The first and last two pages (verso and recto) from the front and back of a book.
