A new edition in the "Jack Harkaway" Series of Books for Boys series, fifteen titles of which are listed on the dust jacket's rear panel, this title being No. 1. Grey cloth, decorated in red and black on the cover; an illustra tion of Jack standing, having knocked down a man who is on the ground holding a stick of wood. Evidently printed from the original plates, as the title page says, "Illustrated," but there are no illustrations in this edition. Miniscule wear. Slig ht abrasion near the top of the edge of the front cover. A bright, clean, near fine copy. The very scarce dust jacket repeats the cover illustration (in yellow and black). The jacket is very good plus with light soiling of the cream panels and mi nor chipping..
