Already a well-respected editor at Dial Press, his first two books were more or less (his take on them at least) genre novels, this was about the effect on the children of the trial and execution for treason of a couple obviously based on Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. A fragile tall proof with a glued unreinforced back. A bit of foxing on the edges and faint creases on the rear cover, else about fine. A scarce proof in this condition.
