New York, Farrar & Rinehart, (1942).  (VG/VG). First edition, with the FR colophon on the copyright page.  In addition to, 'Black Orchids,' the other mystery story is, 'Cordially Invited to Meet Death.'  Rust (or brick) cloth, stamped in black on cover and spine.  Moderate wear.  Mild spine lean, two upper corners slightly bumped, ink name and date on the front free endpaper.  A clean, very good copy in a bright, very good dust jacket (by Alan Haemer) with light edgewear and chipping at the corners and spine ends.  The chipping a t the top of the spine panel takes out a tiny piece of "B" in Black, and just touches "C."  The spine panel has not faded.
