Book desription: A collection of the original hymns (texts) of Thomas Troeger, an Anglican poet.
"Probably America's finest living hymnwriter." --Edward J. McKenna.
"Here is a collection where wit has been restored to its classical sense: heightened speech, conjoining ingenuity with judgment, the imaginative knowing of something. Troeger is poet at once salty and sweet." --Don E. Saliers.
"He has the remarkable capacity to clothe rigorous theological ideas in words that linger on the tongue and bring music to the ear." --Alice Parker.
"...a front-rank theological poet, hymnic theologian, and poetic hymnist, whose words delight the imagination, inspire with new insights, and move us at the deepest level." --Brian Wren.
"both a striking poet and a superlative hymn-writer. His powerful imagery, expressed in deceptively simple language, combines the biblical with the contemporary, and the transcendent with the personal." --Robin Leaver.
