Carol Doran here has prepared keyboard accompaniments for texts written by Thomas Troeger. The introduction explains how these hymns were written and tested and how they may be introduced in a parish setting.

In this book, the format is the same for each hymn. The verses are provided under a melody line; there are no chords symbols above the staff, but a four-part keyboard accompaniment is provided underneath.

The book concludes with several indexes. One of the most valuable of these indexes associates each Sunday with a specific hymn. The hymns in this collection were written for Year B of the Lectionary, that making use of the Gospel of Mark.

The melodies Carol Doran has created match the texts well and are eminently suited for congregation use. The texts of Thomas Troeger are compelling and valuable. 132 pages.
