About This Item
No Place: Red Stodolsky, No Date. First edition thus. Loose Sheets. Fine. Single sheet of paper, printed on both sides with text. Framed under glass. A little known reprint bootleg of Bukowski's first separately published appearance in print that was allegedly produced by Red Stodolsky of Baroque Books in Hollywood back in the early 1990's. (None of this bibliographical info is present on this item, but the legend holds that this is where this item originated.) Stodolsky was a friend of Buk's and who appeared as a fictionalized character in Pulp. Fine condition. Not examined outside of its frame. SIGNED by Bukowski and hand-numbered 8/25. Item within the frame measures approx. 10 1/3 x 16 1/4" tall. The dimensions of this item are slightly different than the original which came from Portfolio III published by the Black Sun Press in 1946. A Bukowski rarity to be sure. This version not listed in Krumhansl or even Fogel.
