His gift for describing people and places is reinforced by 32 pages of fine photographs which he took himself. A most entertaining read. Blue cloth boards with gilt. Partial browning to front free end paper, otherwise contents clean. Dust-jacket has some tiny chipping to corners and top/bottom of spine - all repaired with archival tape; also some light foxing spots to inside of jacket but a bit visible on outside of spine as well. Overall a Very Good+ copy in a Very Good dust-jacket. .
