Adams, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer of Changing World Technologies, Inc., Dr. Adams has specialized in problems of heat transfer, fluid flow and combustion, primarily in the pulp and paper industry. His experience includes work with recovery boilers, black liquor evaporators, power boilers, co-generation plants, gasifiers, burners, air heaters, lime reburning kilns and recausticizing equipment. Dr. Adams worked as an independent consultant from 1986 to 2003. During this time, he served as a consultant to Changing World Technologies from 1998 to 2003, and joined Changing World Technologies as Chief Technology Officer in February of 2003. From 1988 to 1995, he was a Professor of Engineering (part time) in the Chemical and Biological Sciences Division at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1984 to 1986, Dr. Adams was a Technical Advisor to the Director of Energy Science and Technology at Weyerhaeuser R&D in Tacoma, Washington; and from 1980 to 1984 he was a Combustion Scientist at Weyerhaeuser R&D in the Energy and Environmental Division, Recovery Technology Advancement Section. From 1971 to 1980, Dr. Adams was an Assistant/Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada where he taught thermodynamics, heat transfer, power generation and combustion, and did research work in combustion." .
