The author, Julius von Grill, was a German Protestant professor of Biblical studies at Tübingen. This second volume is independent of Grill's first volume (pub. 1902). CONTENTS: 1) Die Offenbarungsmethode Jesu im Licht der Logosidee des vierten Evangelisten. 2) Die durchgängig hellenisierende Typologie des vierten Evangelisten. 3) Der Mysteriencharakter des vierten Evangeliums. 4) Entstehung und Zweck des Schriftwerks. CONDITION: The covers are completely missing, as are the original prefatory pages (pages i-vii); this copy consists of the book-block only, whose binding has been taped with book tape and is thus intact and firm. Pages unopened (uncut), except for parts of two quartos in Chapter 2 (six pages in this section have very minor pen marginalia). Last page is chipped and has tape repairs (no text loss). Overall wear to edges. Moderate darkening to paper due to aging.. First Edition. Fair/No Jacket. 25 x 16 cm.
