With proof slip from publisher laid in loose. Some fading to spine with a very small spot of soiling to front cover, else in Very Good+ condition
wraps : The paper covering on the outside of a paperback.
octavo : A book whose page size is approximately 12 inches by 9 inches. The size is based on a sheet of paper 25 inches by 38 inches, the size of paper traditionally used by book printers, which has been cut into eight pages.
spine : The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf. Also known as the back.
soiling : Generally refers to minor discoloration or staining.
uncorrected proof : Released prior to the general release, and prior to final editing, generally plainly bound and distributed for promotional purposes.
laid in : something which is included with, but not attached to the book, such as a sheet of paper.
