NYC, 1986-1990. This is a small archive of material from Tuli, comprised of a handwritten letter (written on the back of a xeroxed advertisement for Benson & Hedges which has been "altered" by Tuli) and a number of other items from his teeming brain. There are seven xeroxed sheets, including two songs, "Pork Barrel Polka" and "10,000 Men of Harvard, 10,000 Men of Yale." There's also "A Salute (21-Gun) to Journalism" which is a collection of 21 quotes ridiculing the profession, and four cartoons, showing Tuli in his guise as an East Village James Thurber. Also included is a copy of Kill For Peace Again, published by Strolling Dog Press in 1986; this publication is filled with songs and comics and "altered" ads, all specifically relating to the military. Tuli's cover letter, dated Dec. 9, '90, is chatty, with news about the Fugs having been "revived" in 1984, recordings in process, and his own involvement with another NYC group, The Fuxxons. A postscript reads "NYC is war! Depends on where you live (or die). Lotsa people here talk of leaving." Also included is the mailing envelope with Tuli's name and address written in upper left corner. All items except envelope in near fine condition save for a tiny dent to upper left corner of xeroxes (bent in the mail) and one creased cartoon.
