This copy bears the ownership label of Thomas Wentworth Higginson, known for having led the first black regiment in the Civil War, less well-known as being the Military and Naval Historian for Massachusetts, but making for an interesting connection here. Octavo, very good plus in brown cloth-covered boards with stamped gilt design on cover, top edge gilt. Corners of front endpapers have tape residue.
