Book Description

Milton Bradley, Springfield MA, 1914. Quarto, 89 pages, bound in brown ribbed cloth with paste-on photograph of young girl on front cover. The author's aim is "to offer those very old folk songs and games of various nations which form a natural starting point because of their simplicity for the child's musical development." An ex-library copy with no markings except for stamps on endpapers and two interior pages (the stamps on the brown endpapers are hardly visible). A well-preserved, tight copy with wear along edges and corners; slightly rubbed on back cover; front cover photo very lightly scored. Carolyn Sherwin Bailey wrote the familiar children's book "The Little Rabbit Who Wanted Red Wings".
