Not sure of all the words in the inscription but it seems to say: To Prof. Alice ?, with sincere acknowledgement of the debt dating from her days of old, Wm. M Curry, Feb 2. 1929.(See picture) The introduction is by Charles R. Erdman, D.D., LL.D., President, Board of Foreign Missions, Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.
