NY, Harmony Books, giant hardcover (A4-plus), 1984, 181p, illsts., decorated endpapers. (Heavy book - postage additional to standard rate may apply: you will be emailed with details.) A truly wonderful book devoted to an ever-fascinating topic. From the innocence of the 1913 painting September Morn (shown) which revealed the hangups of the Moral Minority through to the raunchy late 20th century magazines featuring women suffering from an overdose of silicone - the riotous history of an extended publishing phenomenon. Packed with wonderful illustrations, many in colour - photos, cover art, adverts. Pink cloth and spine lettering excellent. Nice solid copy. However, the dust-jacket is a bit frayed and worn.
